Something to consider when signing your artwork:
I often work with signed/numbered things, and matting said things. Folks often feel they have to design the matting so that the signature is visible, which usually leaves a white border around the image. This can be very striking! Or it can be… distracting. It’s not a bad thing, to show white border but it would make my job a lil easier, especially for darker pieces.
I’m not the biggest fan of a white mat anyway, but thats just personal preference. I consider my framing style more eccentric, so I’m more inclined to use bolder colors/match things/use funky mouldings. Theres no correct way to design a frame. Do whatcha like
